There are two events that all of us here at TPW have checklists for. One of them is for a fat man in a red suit who totes a herd of raindeer and a rather nifty sled. The other is a race in the German mountains round a iddy biddy little track known to the locals as the Nurburgring (oh if only the M25 round London was as entertaining). Thats right folks for the 37th time this year the ADAC 24 hour race is taken place in the green hell.

Make no mistake. For those of you who have been to Lemans and think you've seen it all? That's childsplay compared to this. 73 corners, rising and falling over 1000 feet, and travelling 25.378Km's (thats nearly 20 miles in English money).......per lap! Oh and lets not forget 200 plus cars in the entry field! This race is like all the Corgi cars you've ever owned, ever wanted to own, scaled up and raced for real. Everything from a Mini to a Manthey Porsche. It istherace.

And so I come back to your dedicated friends here at TPW. As we speak a crack squad of reporters, photographers and general insomniacs are preparing for a whole 5 days without sleep. 5 days with only one thing on our mind. Some are traveling across, and some will be based here in the UK. Our photographers will be getting the shots of the action from both in the pits and out on circuit. Our reporters will be following the race closely throughout the whole night. Put simply....we have it covered.
