2nd qualifying was today, this time in daylight, and in the dry...

Manthey's GT3-R came out, did a lap.. 8:30.. went back into the pits, and didn't come out again...
This was provisional pole for most of the session, but then the Audi's stepped up the pace as the track came to them!

As such, this chap was on pole - car 100driven by mattias ekstrome, oliver jarvis, timo scheider, and marco werner...

This car was in second

with this one in third.

Spot anything in common? yes they're all audis - the top 4 all were.. just one BMW snuck into the top 10 - car 25 qualified eigth

the first Porsche was the Haribo/Manthey one, piloted amongst others by westbrook, which qualified 5th, then the mamerow gt3-r in 6th with the manthey car right behind it in 7th.

they hybrid gt3-r then qualified 9th

with a GT3 Cup S behind that in 10th...

will post more shots up in the morning - the front runners are important, but the race is about more than just them... it's all the independents who give the race its special character.
