Safely back in the pits, it was possible to catch up on the happenings of the race, and observe a seemingly never ending stream of cars entering the pitlane.
Car 190 (above) was a diesel, and was running second in it's D3T class, albeit 8 laps down on its class leader, and about 20 laps down on the battle for overall victory.
The Aston V12 Vantage, car number 6, out in front in SP8, was 4 laps clear of the closest Lexus LFA, but a worrying noise gave cause for concern as it came in to pit stop
Up front, it seemed like a two way battle between Porsche and Audi - this car - number 2 - was running third, a couple of minutes behind the Porsche GT3-R Hybrid and car 99 - another R8 LMS, but was setting fastest lap times of all - an 8:39 being recorded just before 4am!
