Ford set the pace today.
In first practice, the Marc VDS car number 40 had the quickest time, with Bas Leinders' fastest lap being 1:44.446. Second quickest was the number 1 Vitaphone Racing Maserati MC12, with the number 23 Sumo Power Nissan GTR finishing third. It was very close though - the top 12 cars were within 1 second of each other.
In second practice, Richard Westbrook raised the bar higher, taking top spot with a 1:43.433, Again a Vitaphone Maserati MC12 came second, but this time it was the number 2 car, piloted by Enrique Bernoldi.
