Corvette ruled the roost in qualifying, with Phoenix/Carsport's sole car growling its way to pole position. There was much celebrating by the team after the fact -I guess with the frustration of being excluded from the championship points due to their only being able to field a a single car, this provided a welcome relief!




Marc VDS showed their pace in free practice was no fluke, with the number 40 Ford GT piloted by Bas Leinders and Maxime Martin qualifying second.



Michael Krumm and Peter Dumbreck also had a good showing in qualifying, putting the Sumo Power Nissan GTR 3rd on the grid.



After their strong showing in practice, hopes had been high for the Matech Ford GT of Richard Westbrook and Thomas Mutsch, unfortunately problems struck resulting in them starting from near the back of the grid.
