At long last VW have taken the plunge and launched a micro-site for the Scirocco Coupe. As yet there are still very few details about it though, with just a tiny glimpse of a few body panels and an FSI badge. Given how close the Geneva Motor Show is, one would hope that VW will have the finished product there along with details of when it will arrive in the showrooms.

It's been nearly two years since VW released photos of the Iroc concept.

This was met with considerable dismay, especially from enthusiasts of the original Mk1 and Mk2. Underpowered, front wheel drive and soft, EOS style looks were the main concerns.

Let's hope that VW give us a few surprises. We know that the 2.0 FSI used in the Golf GTI is a terrific engine, but their 3.2 V6 driving the rear wheels is what we all want.

ThePitWall.com will be at Geneva with the latest.
