Qualifying for GT3 takes place in two parts - a 20 minute session to sort out the grid for race 1, followed by a 10 minute breather, a change of driver, and a 20 minute session to finalise the line up for race 2.


In the first part of qualifying championship leader Daniel Keilwitz is on pole, with a lap time of 1:46.422 in the number 101 Callaway Competition Corvette. He was just 0.153 seconds faster than Zak Brown in a much improved showing for the number 23 United Autosports Audi R8 LMS R8



Paul Van Splunteren put the number 61 Prospeed Competition Porsche 911 GT3 R in 3rd, narrowly shading out the number 11 Muehlner Motrosport Porsche piloted by Gilles Vannelet.



In qualifying 2, Audi took their first pole of the year, with the number 5 Sainteloc-Phoenix Racing Audi R8 being guided to a time of 1:45.423 by Gregory Guilvert.



The competitiveness of the GT3 grid was highlighted though, with the number 99 Marc VDS Ford GT of Maxime Martin being just 0.037 behind.

Third place was taken by Jan Seyffarth in Black Falcon Audi R8 LMS, number 33.
